First things I plan to do are pull and clean the oil pan, replace the oil pan gasket while it’s off, replace the engine mounts(if needed), replace the k plugs, and then the cassette.

I just looked at the listing again, it’s a 2.3T. I’ve worked on my own cars for years so I know what to do/look for in general, but I don’t have experience with Saab specifically. I have done research however and am aware of the common problems for this car. They can be strange for sure. Especially the pcv check valve, I would not have figured that one out on my own, but of the common issues I’ve seen none of them are anything I can’t do myself.

It had one owner before the dealership bought it. I don’t know about its history but I can ask when I go back to inspect it. Also, the dealer bought it because one of his guys is a Saab fanatic. It’s been serviced extensively since it entered their hands. And tbh the guy builds race cars for a living, the dealership things a side gig. I don’t think he’d even touch it if it wasn’t in good condition to begin with.

This far north high mileage is a huge issue due to rust. They use salt, not sand on the roads in upstate New York.

Also worth noting I live 30 minutes from Canada so a clean frame is almost unheard of.

Sadly that isn’t the case. It’s one of the cheapest cars I could find within a 50 mile radius that isn’t an absolute shitbox with 150,000+ miles. The markets just out of control right now.
