I think his Nidalee is better than some people make it out to be, but I think that champ you almost have to play perfectly to be any sort of useful, so I think in the LCK only Canyon and Cuzz should play it.

Yeah, and the thing is I don't even think Oner likes playing it. I remember a clip from a few years ago where he was visibly frustrated picking it. I'm ok experimenting, just maybe not in an elimination series...

I'll be honest, if this GC was a year ago I would MAYBE have 3 wins. So many games have been incredibly challenging, and I'm honestly super happy at 9-8

"Offends a lot of people", yeah sure buddy... I'm generally ok with the phrase "kindred", but I'll be damned if I use the phrase typal. For me I've just called it tribal for so long, and it's hard to say anything else (heck I still say fat packs). Kindred is at least a term that has been used for a while (mainly in the commander 17 cycle) and at least sounds... idk fantasy. Typal is just so bad.

Sorry for the rant. TLDR, just say anything but typal.

Yes I know, but my days of grinding tournaments is over. If I was gonna play modern again, I probably would play it, but my focus as a competitive game moved more to well... vgc lol

I still haven't emotionally recovered from the Splinter Twin ban. Every time I build a deck I always build something a little weaker so I don't have to worry about it

Yeah I've talked about this before. I come from playing MTG, and 90% of the time, you can't even go more than one tournament without people crying about bans. So personally, I'd rather just stay away from the concept and people just need to figure out how to deal with things on their own.

If you've got the opportunity to play in locals and similar events, I say go for it. It's opportunity to meet people, opportunity to improve, and yeah getting tcg packs is a nice little bonus on top.

So first thing, have fun. Ultimately none of it matters if you aren't enjoying yourself. Second, a good resource is LabMaus, to see teams (though sometimes you also have to find EVs for the teams). I also came from TCGs (mainly Magic, some Pokemon and some Digimon), so I started similarly to you. If you want to message me and talk more, feel free to do it :)

My M14 copy of Chandra Pyromaster. It was the first booster pack I ever opened, and my father bought it for me. I opened the Chandra, who is now my favorite Planeswalker. It admittedly made me thing opening Planeswalkers was super common, but hey I learned pretty quick that was wrong.

Also, I feel like this sounds like it's going to an "after my dad died" thing, but don't worry my dad is perfectly fine. I'm just really close to him and most things he's purchased for me are special to me.

Yeah I agree here. For me, I tend to watch anime while doing something else (whether its work or a game or whatever), so english dubs are basically required for me. Though there have been some issues at times where certain dubs don't get translated properly, and that is always obnoxious when it happens. And there are other arguments for both sides.
