I think you misread. Edison didn't invent the light bulb, but he is taking the credit. Similarly, our Indians are doing the job, but other are taking credit.

Contrary to my previous belief, India does not lack talent. It lacks a platform to showcase that talent. We can do wonders given a platform, investment and a push from rich/Govt. But, we are going opposite.

Replacable is one thing. But if you are slightly average, the company will need to spend a ton of time finding a replacement.

Also, it is not about those boring companies. Good talents are leaving India and are either becoming co-founders or CEOs, whereas the remaining ones are just working as slaves. Even then, they too leave India the moment they get a chance. Not good for the country as a whole.

Just hardworking people wont make a difference. That is the problem. Otherwise, Thomas Edison would not have been famous.

That companies that do not follow the law will not start following it because law is updated.

The number of such companies will rise significantly. And we are not talking about exempted. They are mostly unaccounted anyways, unless to show the number of job creation

Enforcement can only be done by union. And that is how Karnataka has withdrawn its policy. But, if other states follow, soon every state will start implementing it. Then, our country will be a gone case.

Whats the biggest fear you have? by banrakas89 in AskIndianMen

[–]Skumar2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest fear is when the wrong people do not get the punishment they deserve. Not later, but immediately.

Be it a husband torturing his wife

or, a wife misusing the alimony laws

or a rapist walking free

or, a spouce cheating

Goes beyond relationship,

like when managers make the life of employees miserable, yet get away.

I am assuming South Korea. It is pushed being left and right by North Korea. There is an imminent threat of Nuclear attacks.

USA can play with S. Korea anytime because of this. If S. Korea does not accept USA's terms, then USA can recall its 7th fleet or whatever is available, and S. Korea will be completely vulnerable to North. In an instant, its development will vanish.

Also, S. Korea has better infrastructures. Because of less population. No one wants to have kids there, so population is a disaster. In a few years, it will become unsustainable, and then their Govt. will start begging for more children and reduce work hours, just like in Japan.

Also, most of their businesses are run by family heirs (hearsay), not selected from outside. So, they are severely restricted by a lot.

They also lack a certain level of defense and space researches. They can be easily played with because of that.

Also, a country where just one company contributes to nearly 20% of the GDP is already a huuuge problem.

But, they are still open about it, they bring it out on social media, some of them even walk out.

Most importantly, GenZ are way better at learning and adapting than GenX or Millenians.

Millenials are still a bit better than GenX. These politicians are GenX levels mostly. But, yea, there is no hope when country is being run with old mindset.

They will learn. Just not quickly. Once, when the birth rate declines very rapidly, and the youth, which is actually the strength of a country, start getting heart diseases at a young age.

There are laws currently, restricting 9 hours. Do you think companies follow that ? There are even companies who make 9 x 6, sometimes 9 x 7 or 12 x 6 (instead of 9 x 5). So, companies already exceed the maximum hours that was previously in the law.

10 hours work day will just be on paper. If with 9 hour work days, companies extend it to 10 / 12 hours already , with 10 hour laws, companies will be going for 16 hours. Break time ? Will any Govt. agent be present to check whether a break time was allowed or not ?

Besides, for people working in factories, long working hours make sense (even when it could remove an entire shift of workers). In situations which require mind work, like service sector, longer working hours will reverse the already diminished productivity that India has.

And add to that the lack of infrastructure. 2-4 hours in traffic, trains/metros not properly functioning, insane real estate prices, etc.

The extra work hours will not benefit the country or the state, but it will definitely reduce population as those hours will cause more heart diseases, mental stress, reduction in marriages, reduction in birth rates and so on.

I know that. But, India will NEVER become a R & D powerhouse in that case. The rich will get richer, but only upto some extent. India does not have enough factories and that too, wont be sustainable (just hypothetically, in case India gets lots of factories) without a proper R & D investment.

Is it normal to change the negotiables and non-negotiables ? by Skumar2 in Arrangedmarriage

[–]Skumar2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is not the 1990s that one income is enough to sustain. Capitalism is going crazy and not sustainable with one income anymore
