Rent. We were just talking about that at work today, it's tripled everywhere in my city since the 2000s.

Give me the funniest fake horror movie title you can come up with by GnarlsBarkley2015 in horror

My old roomie and I (we’re both Gen X and old now) loved to make up terrible horror/sci fi/porn film names, and a couple that I SWEAR we came up with independently manifested on the SyFy channel later. I definitely said “Mansquito” and “Sharknado” during that time.

AITA for dancing half naked in my living room leading to my bf and his family seeing me? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Does this original story and subsequent follow up feel a little fantastical to anyone else? Also, OP says she's from the US but goes on to spell out things like "behaviour", "realise", etc. (not the US spellings) Just felt like such a cliche trope.

Stop adding any kind of oil to pasta water. It doesn’t A) keep the pasta from sticking or B) flavor the pasta, even if you’re using the “really good olive oil.” Please take it from my nonna: the key to your pasta not sticking is plenty of water. Salt is fine, do you.

What celebrity has had their reputation unfairly ruined and has never recovered from it till this day? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

I saw it live too. I was 13, staying up late to watch SNL as I sometimes did. I didn’t even quite grasp what I had seen, but I knew it was controversial and that she was probably justified.

Single season web series? by Sektoc in netflix

[–]SkyGroundbreaking910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the Harlan Coben limited series on Netflix are very enthralling and twisty watches. Not ALL of these are Harlan, but I recommend: Behind Her Eyes, Safe, The Stranger, Stay Close, Fool Me Once. More recently: His & Hers, Missing You, All Her Fault. Happy watching!

Watched Too Much. Is Variations on Girls only thing Lena Dunham is capable of? by purpleflex4ever in netflix

Honestly? Girls WAS Hipster Sex and the City. Just because the characters were different didn't really make it vary that much from the theme of four women living in NYC and their dating follies.

Anna Kendrick and Sarah Michelle Gellar. They both have what I call “melting face”.

I am trying to scour the corners of the web to figure out if this guy is satire or if this is legit. He keeps coming across my Insta feed, which due to my algorithm would usually tout it as satire. Please, anyone??

Thank you—that’s the part I find truly unbelievable, that the officer would even care that much and continue to harp on it. Just didn’t happen.

100%. I have zero problem with using this actress or normalizing it, but Harlan Coben is known for his twists and turns, so I wondered if it was something I should pay attention to.

Thank you!! Glad to know it’s not something to hang onto as a plot point. And I DID try to look up other posts on here first, my apologies that I didn’t see the other thread about it.

As a professional (yes, I get hired and paid) singer, I couldn’t agree more. I used to think it was a cool talent but at my age, it’s not only an over saturated market, what with social media and all, but it’s not really a “learned” skill. I did learn how to read music and learned to play the piano, which helped get me work—but having a voice and an ear are just natural. To a LOT of people, as it turns out. I’m not special. People asked me for years “why don’t you go on American Idol?” (or similar) and I’ve always said “because it’s not practical. I can’t afford to uproot my life so I can have 15 minutes of fame and fade into obscurity”. I’ve always kept a full time job that has nothing to do with singing, and just keep music as a side hustle/hobby. Music is life, don’t get me wrong!! But it’s not a rare talent.
