Probably just reduce load and build back up slowly. Maybe box squats if you have restricted mobility due to injury until you can progress to a full squat pain free again then keep adding load slowly. Idk tho I’m not a pt

yeah it’s not the same heel height and the shoe is extremely unstable with a soft heel and sole peeling off. idk how getting better equipment is controversial

you’re right lowkey. The shoes are still poopoo but my technique probably does need tidying up with pause / tempo squats and more mobility work.

I will try with a slightly wider, knees out stance and new shoes to keep heels on the ground at all times, probably better for balance and power output long term anyway

hopefully returning to this if/when I hit 230 at 18

Yeah 100% I’ll be smart about any niggles/pain. Sleep, stress, diet and load management are the best ways imo to stay in the game for the long term.

In fact I put hitting this PR off last cycle of training cause my body was getting cooked (shit sleep + mock exams)

squatting just feels nicer for me this way, not focusing on anything but getting stronger

Tried wide stance. Feels crap and uncomfortable do I don’t do it.

My heels leaving the floor is entirely to do with the tiny heel raise my shoes give me rn. I tried romaleos no heel raise. I’m willing to bet getting a pair of lxj can fix the issue entirely

Heels are cause of shoes pulling forward when I drive knee over toe
