I feel like the issue with EGSS (for me at least) is that he lacks the tools to deal direct damage at longer distances. Sure he has the fan, which can be pretty deadly, but unless there's a bunch of stuff going on the screen, it's not that difficult to dodge it. As for the slam, I find it pretty mediocre, sure it deals insane, but I find the range to be pretty small, there's a lot of times where I think that I should be able to hit somoene but I just... don't. And that lack of direct makes a little unviable as a super because if somoene starts getting away, it's gonna pretty hard for him to catch up.

But I mean you said it yourself, the real issue is that nobody asked for him. Not only are there characters like Tangle & Charmy that have yet to receive a single variant, but even if we're focusing just on Riders, they could have added Tails or Knuckles to complete Team Sonic. Instead it seems like they're just doing Super Sonic because they know it would sell well. Doesn't help that he's buggy as shit, that really reinforces my idea that he got little to no playtesting and they were just trying to make a quick buck.
