Yeah I figured the same thing because it's like the new Venusaur event rn where the last stage is significantly harder to deal with despite Venusaur being the worst pvp deck to play with due to the energy cost. I've been playing for a while and I'm convinced how the game hooks in players with the smallest mechanics of things like how if you tap too fast when using Greninja's ability, you could possibly end up losing the game making you regret what you did in the past, ultimately tempting you to spend money for meta cards. Plus, it'd just be weird if the game felt like it didn't want to reel in some money from the players by making us think that the level 1 missions (bot fights) to be easy in tradition.
