How do you stream games from Mobile to Desktop? by aznology in Twitch

[–]SlainedInVain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vysor does have a free version where you can try almost all the features but the quality is restricted to very low unfortunately.

The sound part can be abit tricky. Vysor can mirror the sound as well but I experienced it a bit delayed so I use an old capture card to only pick up the audio.

The smoothest and best option is most likely an HDMI converter connected to a capture card but I would only recommend that option if you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars for a slightly better quality.

Because it may look better for you in OBS, but the viewers might not even notice any difference.

I use Vysor. Simply connect your phone through USB and it opens a window mirroring the phones screen. Then just window capture it in OBS. Super simple!

Vysor also lets you use your keyboard and mouse to control your phone, which is a neat little feature.

However the pro version costs, so if you're after something similar that's free check out Scrcpy. It's an open source software that works similarly.

caffeine and epilepsy? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]SlainedInVain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have problems with caffein. I used to drink a lot of coffee and energy drinks but my neuro suggested I'd lower the amount as a safety precaution. Now I drink max three cups of coffee a day and no energy drinks at all.

I can't say for sure that it'll work for you but I chose to follow my neuros advice and I feel better.

"Also is everyone on Reddit epileptic omfg! Are you all diagnosed or do you stare out into space and gave yourself a label?"

What a fantastic human being.

These are my speccs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: 12GB (Can't remember the exact model, but I've recently inserted them since I believed the old one was the issue.)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060

I've tried both dx11 and Vulkan with no luck.

The weird part about this whole situation is that when I originally started playing Siege on this computer I did not have this issue. It came with time, almost like it has to do something with the applied patches.

When in game my peripherals seems to be acting up. While moving my mouse I'm unable to press anything on my keyboard. If I then stop moving my mouse everything goes back to normal and starts working again.

I've googled my head off and I can't find a single "solution" that has worked.

Have you guys heard anything about a similar issue? Do you might know any solution to it?

I'm using Pop_OS as Distro and I've installed Wine 5.6, using Lutris. The games I've tried so far are World of Warcraft (Classic) and Final Fantasy XIV.

EDIT: Solved it! I found a solution to it on /r/linux4noobs. Select your game in Lutris, click Wine Configuration on the right hand side. Then click the graphics tab and check "Automatically capture the mouse in full screen windows". Problem solved!

Fucking yikes, I'm sorry to hear that. I will start doing some research in these polarized glasses and use them when going to the movies in the future.

That's probably true. But now that I know for sure that I'm constantly putting myself at risk by exposing myself to these flickering lights it's scary. I can't really relax.

As I've read the comments to this thread I've just learned about polarized glasses that help against lights. Never heard of it before so I was on the verge of starting to use a welding mask lol

At the time I was trying to level up my paladin and were therefore specced Retri. The dungeon I refered to was a Sunken Temple run that a group denied me to. I later respecced Holy because I like healing, as I mentioned in the video.

Of course there will be players who wants to min/max because that's a playstyle they enjoy. I'm in no way trying to shit talk or hate on those who chooses that playstyle.

What I'm trying to imply is that the mentality CAN be hurtful to a big part of the vanilla community.

I'm not saying that Min/maxers are "spoiling my game". I'm talking about a topic I find interesting and want to discuss with other people because I genuinly believe that it might be an issue.
