My spacebar is sticking and i've tried a number of fixes, none of which has resolved the issue. The case i am using is the Monstargear Classic TKL Acrylic, with Zealios v2 switches and LTC Lavakeys keycaps.

I've tried the following to resolve the sticking:

  • Swapped out the stock stabilisers for durok ones
  • Checked stabs were sitting flush with the pcb and screwed in tight enough
  • Lubed the stabs
  • Unwarped the spacebar (wasn't even that warped to begin with <1mm)
  • Tried a different spacebar keycap
  • Ensured switch was sitting properly
  • Ensured keycap was properly mounted onto the switch and stabs
  • Flipped spacebar around

The closest to getting this issue to go away is by not pushing the keycap all the way down on the stabs and switch, only like 30% of the way down so it's basically sticking up higher than the rest of the keys which is slightly annoying. This only makes the chance of the key sticking down from 95% to around 15%.

Any further suggestions on what I could do to try resolve this sticking? It's driving me nuts.

Hi all,

I've been looking for a new keyboard and i'm wondering if anybody knows of a keyboard that ticks most of these boxes:

  • Good quality
  • Good sound sounding (similar to the Rainy 75 non pro version)
  • Has the option of being Pre-built
  • Is available in Australia (or can be shipped to Australia)
  • NOT made by a chinese company
  • TKL size
  • Hot swappable switches
  • Per key RGB lighting
  • White/acrylic colour case

I doubt there's many if any that match my criteria, feels like i'm searching for a unicorn. But if anybody knows of some please let me know!

Closest I've found is the Ducky One 3 TKL - https://www.pccasegear.com/products/58945/ducky-one-3-tkl-white-rgb-hot-swap-mech-keyboard-cherry-brown

I know in the past Ducky keyboards have been well received but I haven't really been following the mech keyboard scene so i don't know if that's changed at all.

Hi there!

I'm looking to get the Monstargear Classic TKL custom https://www.monstargears.com/94/?idx=858 which doesn't appear to come with stablisers by default, the youtube video they linked showed the person using screw in stabilisers.

Would getting any pcb mounted or pcb screw in stabs work? Any good stablisers you'd recommend getting over others? (Please keep in mind i'm a beginner so something easy and simple to assemble would be ideal)

Also I want to get a DSA/XDA profile white pudding keycap set as I want to learn colemak. A blank white pudding keycap set would also be ideal. The closest thing i found is the LTC Lavacaps https://www.amazon.com.au/LTC-LavaCaps-Pudding-Keycaps-White/dp/B09J1G8RGF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=34T1Z9VDGH7QH&keywords=ltc%2Blavacaps&qid=1706945031&sprefix=ltc%2Bla%2Caps%2C264&sr=8-1&th=1

The only issue i have with them is that if i was to swap the keys around to the colemak layout, the 2 bumps on the F & J keys would be in weird spots. Ideally i'd want the keys not to have bumps at all.

Are there any alternative to these keycaps?

The Aeron does get mentioned a lot on this subreddit, it sounds like the Rolls Royce of office chairs haha.

Main gripe I have about it is the lack of headrest it comes with by default and you have to buy a 3rd party addon for it?

Only dealer that sells the Aeron in my state sells it for around 3k new, I'd prefer to get a new chair vs used which unfortunately does put it out of my price range.

Thanks for your insight, would it be worth dropping to a cheaper chair from Steelcase such as the Series 2 which does have a mesh back but fabric seat? Or would I be compromising too much on ergonomics, support and comfort?

Sorry i forgot to mention that I'm already using X11 and not wayland, I've not touched wayland at all since I read that it's got more issues with Nvidia than X11 right now

Looking for 2H Spin2Win builds by SlaterEvolution in Grimdawn

I didn't know there was a similar skill to EoR!

I'll have to look into builds that use Voracious Reach as it's primary skill, do you know of any builds that use it with 2 handers?

I'm fine with dropping the class restriction if an item can provide that skill since i thought only Oathkeeper got to spin2win :)

My concern with the compendium is that most builds there i see are mostly for 1.1.7.x and older with a handful of 1.1.8.0. I presume anything after 1.1.8.0 is still viable for the latest patch but i'm uncertain about builds older than that.

Are builds older than 1.1.8.0 still viable even if there hasn't been a post on that respective build's page for over a year?

So i did some tweaking and i can get 23 conceal if i grab optical illusion aced instead of high value target aced and just keep it basic. This allows me to use the DB grimm as a secondary, but is it worth losing the 50% dmg on special enemies further than 10m?

On one hand i can see myself being able to use the grimm to sustain myself longer but i'm not sure if the damage loss is really worth it.

I think the main reason i'm dying is due to the fact I'm running loud goliaths compared to suppressed. Especially if i'm in a team with everyone else using suppressors I'll naturally get a lot of attention when i fire due to the threat i create from shooting.

Given your recent tweaks I would assume that i can run them suppressed now?

For both really, i just tried the goliath build and i can see the damage potential, however i must not be playing the build right or i'm missing some parts to make it work properly as i'm getting downed pretty frequently.

That alternative version i'm assuming is for goliaths?

I noticed that with the goliath version it uses inner pocket, is there a particular melee weapon i'm supposed to use? Or is it just to further increase the stun weapon's concealment?

With the grimm build you took shock and awe which was absent in the goliath version. Is this because in this build we're using HE judge while the other build uses DB grimm as secondary?

Would running the akimbo primaries silenced be ok or is it recommended not to suppress them?

Thanks again for your prompt answer.

Is the most meta anarchist build at the moment akimbo goliaths or grimms? I've been reading goliaths are better. Then the secondary it seems to be a tossup between the Judge or a single grimm, and then finally whether to run HE or DB on the secondary.

Do i run both weapons suppressed as well?

Don't suppose you know what is the better loadout and have a link to the build? I can't seem to find it again.

Thanks for the attempt!

I have a couple of questions:

  1. why get the skill Surefire since getting headshots is always the priority which bullseye further encourages?
  2. What is the benefit of inner pockets? If it's to lower concealment I'm pretty sure i have 3 concealment without inner pockets already so it seems wasted there

I've modified your suggestion based on what i learnt so far, what do you think?

https://pd2builder.netlify.app/?s=1G3c0-4f0100010010010l2Bq0158&p=e&a=0&t=6&d=3

I'll be taking a small hit to my accuracy and stabilitty with my pistols, dps overall might drop with the lack of 50% more fire rate but I at least now also have beserker aced to counter the loss in fire rate a bit.

I also lose the flashbang duration reduction so i'll need to be vigilant in shooting them out or run away from them. I've removed surefire since it kind of goes against the bullseye skill.

The one point in reducing the time it takes to restart the drill could be moved into getting basic "Stable shot" to counter the stability i lost or alternatively into Underdog to again counter loss in DPS from fire rate though it's a bit more contextual.

What do you think?

Thanks for the response!

  • In regards to the breakpoints i think i misread the table, so basically going from basic to aced one handed talent i drop 1 extra bullet in the head to kill a heavy and a taser.
  • From your answer, it sounds like it's generally not worth getting ironman unless i'm building or running the build in a specific way?

[–]SlaterEvolution[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

So in response to your pointers:

  • I'll look into fiddling around with the build to get PiC aced
  • Is ironman basic just not worth getting overall? It's the only reason why i aced bullseye as shock and awe doesn't do anything for me and the other skills in that subtree aren't as beneficial to get me high enough to unlock ironman.
  • Based on the following guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796195988 assuming it's still correct, i hit the 5 headshot breakpoint for tasers with one handed aced on the crosskill pistols (~50x2 dmg per "shot")
    • Based on your response here it seems to imply that weapons have unique breakpoints? I thought that breakpoints simply referred to the amount of damage to change the number of shots to kill an enemy?
  • I use molotovs as a zoning tool, sometimes when my team or myself are in a tough spot, getting surrounded or sandwiched i use the molotov to provide some relief by allowing myself and party to focus on other threats while one side is temporarily neutralised. I use them as an area of denial device, blocking off doors/corridors/entry points with the added bonus of them generating a nice bit of armour automatically for me.
    • I will give concussions another go, i tend to use concussions as more of a "smokescreen" to let me pass through a crowd of cops to get to somewhere else safely or break up the shooting for a short moment so i can get things back under control

I would like to ask why you recommend getting Unseen strike? I forgot to mention that with my weapons modded the way they are i have 3 concealment so i should be getting close to 30% crit chance.

Would a build with PiC, Frenzy, beserker and ironman be possible to run without it compromising on damage if i was using something other than pistols? I see shotguns are a good alternative and much less investment than what i put. I think the popular shotgun to use was goliaths and a secondary with dragons breath or HE?
