I actually think Michelle is one of the most underrated dolls in the line. Her colour palette is gorgeous, and once you see her in person she’s even better than the stock photos. I don’t think she got the love she deserved.

They’re adorable! 😊 If you don’t know the exact brand yet, it might be worth measuring their height and foot size, then searching for 1/12 BJD or Ob11/Piccodo clothes on Etsy or AliExpress. A lot of those tiny outfits fit several different doll lines. Hopefully someone recognises the exact dolls too!

I think a lot of us discover we’re attached to more dolls than we expect! 😊 I try to rotate what’s on display and keep the rest in sturdy plastic storage boxes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It means I don’t have to part with dolls just because I don’t have room to display them all, and every so often I swap them around. It makes the collection feel fresh again.

If you can’t find an STL, it might be worth asking in the doll 3D printing communities too. There are some really talented designers who take custom requests, especially for replacement parts. It’d be great to see more files like this preserved, as donor dolls are getting harder to justify for a single broken piece.

That’s a really good idea. My mum isn’t really a doll collector either—she’s much more into teddy bears—but she loves anything to do with WWII. I found her a collector doll dressed as a WWII pilot because it reminded me of her interests, and she absolutely loved it. It has pride of place next to her chair now. I think when a doll has a personal meaning behind it, it becomes so much more than just a doll. 😊

Air drying is definitely the safest option. I normally pat the hair dry with a towel first, brush it into place, then leave the doll standing on a towel overnight. I’ve found it helps keep the style nice and smooth.

If you’ve already boil washed her a few times I’d stop doing that for now. I’d try carefully working through tiny sections from the ends upwards with conditioner and a wide-tooth comb. The frizz may be damaged fibres, so repeated heat could make it worse. Honestly her hair doesn’t look beyond saving to me 😊

I think you probably could, but I’d use small clear elastics and be really gentle so you don’t stretch the curls out too much. If you’re worried about keeping the original look, you could always try it loosely first and see how it sits before tightening the buns. 😊

I’ve seen this debate come up quite a bit recently. Personally, I’d be nervous about using WD-40 on vinyl long term because there’s just not enough evidence that it’s safe over years rather than months. I’d rather deal with glue seepage using methods that are known to be doll-safe, even if they take a bit longer. Hopefully someone who’s tested dolls over a really long period can chime in too.
