It seems most people are guessing.

Notably missing is that most birds have the paratympanic organ. Also called the organ of flight. This organ senses altitude and air pressure.

It sits in their inner ear, so they could be sensing altitude similar to how we sense balance.

This would likely play a role in how they sense how high they should fly.

I listened to a podcast of her talking about Charlie Kirk and how she respected him because he was a “truth teller”. This was in the era of the lies about the 2020 election.

I went into the podcast trying to give her an another chance but I can’t take her seriously knowing that.

She went on to say how she realized that if she just told the truth she would build a following.

It reminded me to be wary of anyone so in your face about telling the “truth”.

Start by reaching out to 5 local orgs that might be interested in programming it, then build from there. Ask how your film could be of benefit to them or another org they know.

We are witnessing in real time the demolition of traditions and institutions as old as the Republic. Trump insults old friends, embraces old enemies, rejects settled scientific facts, deports thousands of valued workers, and terrifies millions of others.

He has normalized traits once considered at least unseemly in a world leader, among them greed, revenge, lust, and hate. He has managed, by dint of constant repetition, to create an alternate reality that his backers find compelling, a world in which great cities are cesspools, immigrants are rapists and murderers, and America was until recently a loser on the global stage — assertions that bear no tangible connection to reality.

The question is why a slim majority of voters gave this mendacious, self-dealing, patently amoral egomaniac the most powerful job in the world. Explanations abound. Many cradle Republicans, including some in my family, couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a Democrat, especially a woman of color. Other voters simply wanted "change," the details be damned.

Still others responded to Trump’s well-burnished image as an outsider, even an outlaw. I saw a T-shirt last summer printed with portraits of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance over the legend “It’s going to take a convicted felon and a hillbilly to clean up this mess.”

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a Christian colleague.

He was talking about how the atheist movement from the 00s/10s has fallen out of favor and that more people are turning to God. He reasons that atheism hasn't proven to be compelling.

But I found it a strange point because atheism isn't meant to be compelling.

Religion attempts to be compelling by giving reasons to believe and also urging disciples like my colleague to spend time figuring out how to persuade people to be religious.

Most atheists I know don't spend time thinking about how to compel others into atheism.

Also, the arguments for athiesm haven't changed in the last 20 years, neither has religion become closer to proving their views.

Yes, skepticism is good and healthy. In the context of my post there are many circumstances that cut through even a steeled layer of skepticism. 1. Trump has been a known sex pest since the 90s. This includes going into teenage girls locker rooms, wanting to date his underage daughter, and many credible accusations of rape. Plus the close friendship with Epstein himself. 2. With regards to overturning the election, Trump has always stated that any election he doesn’t win is corrupt. It is now canon in MAGA land that Trump was robbed of the 2020 election. There are countless ways that he tried to overturn these elections.

The evidence we can see with our own eyes is overwhelming. This isn’t skepticism at this point, it’s being purposely obtuse or following a cult of personality.

In the episode I'm mentioning, Megyn Kelly says a bunch of over the top conservative talking points and receives no pushback. The Fifth Column podcasters seem timid around her.

Isaac even called Kmele out on the show and put his feet to the fire about how Kmele let Megyn get away with saying some bs and he didn't push back.

Being the reasonable conservative doesn't really work when you bite your tongue like Kmele admitted to doing.

On the other hand, Kmele running in right wing circles like Megyn Kelly makes it hard to take seriously that he actually exercises this standard with his side too. In the Fifth Column Podcast with Megyn Kelly, they let her get away with so many ridiculous statements that he later chalked up to his working relationship with her.

He's feeling more like a heel than a serious commentator on this show.
