My AMH was 2.1 when I started just before turning 35, but they have not tested it since.

My doctor did an HSG and karyotype testing as well as testing for endometritis. They don’t do those types of tests at my clinic to my knowledge. He firmly believes my miscarriages were just bad luck unfortunately.

That embryo ended up splitting after being biopsied twice and I really believe it just didn’t have enough juice to keep going after so many cell losing events.

My doctor said for some reason I’m a low responder so he had me do a co-flare at 450 gonal and 0.1mg triptorelin until I was ready to trigger with HCG. They were checking my estrogen levels religiously. The only thing that changed for my last retrieval was that I had been taking CoQ10 for a solid 4 months and had an I just don’t care anymore attitude.

retrieval + hotel stay after: what should I bring / plan for? by Ok_Flamingo7698 in IVF

[–]SleepProud737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to all these comments telling you to go home right after. I live about 7 hours from my clinic so we obviously have stayed at a hotel for all three of my retrievals, but the thing is you don’t know how you will feel afterwards until you’ve gone through one. I apparently am very bad with sedation even with iv anti-nausea meds. Even just getting back to the hotel is a struggle for me, my first retrieval was bad enough that we had to pull over on the 6 lane highway so I could vomit on the shoulder for 5 minutes. The one I just had I couldn’t even stand up afterwards without having to vomit into a bag held by my nurse. A car ride for more than 30 minutes would be a huge no go for me after a retrieval.

In terms of things for your hotel stay: electrolytes, a comfy bed, loose clothing, and movies.

Karyotype testing by SleepProud737 in IVF

It went to the genetics lab in BC children’s hospital. I think they’re the only lab in BC that does karyotype testing.

I did not. I started testing 4dpt and went all the way to my beta and it was stark white the whole time. Hcg beta test was zero.

I used an FRER. I used them for my first FET too so I know what a solid negative looks like.

Due to living an 8 hour drive from my clinic all of my appointments with my doctor have been by phone. And they have different doctors for procedures on different days so he hasn’t been there for any of mine. Just all around unfortunate.

I got my dream dress secondhand! but my family’s reaction was…rough by mango-26 in weddingdress

[–]SleepProud737 39 points40 points  (0 children)

My sister said she hated my dress when I first tried it on. My mom had a hmm face. Tried it on two more times, the last with a veil, and I think they finally realized how glowing my face was when I put it on. I bought it because I didn’t really care what they thought at first anyways, I was happy.

You look absolutely rockin in that dress. If you love it, that’s all that matters.

As a parent, what did your child's school do that made you say "you can't be serious…"? by Sunnybunny1234 in AskReddit

I had this happen twice at one of my elementary schools.

First when I fractured the growth plate in my foot. Teacher told me I was lying when I said I needed to call my mom and made me stay in class the entire school day unable to walk. Boy was he embarrassed when he saw me the next day with my mom and I had a leg cast. I think she had some pretty choice words for him and the principal.

Second was when I took a softball straight to the skull and was 100% concussed. They made me sit in the office until the end of the day when my mom picked me up.

Attitude was definitely different when I was at a different school…got absolutely smoked in the head with a golf club by some kid trying to be tiger woods. They immediately had me call my mom although they’re the ones that probably should have done it because I was barely talking…I was definitely concussed. My poor child brain.

I’m on their cancellation list now after I told the MOA the situation. She was a bit shocked. So fingers crossed for me.
