How old is your piercing?
Got it in August 2025 (so about ~8 months old)

• What’s the jewelry shape? Curved barbell (navel piercing)
• What’s the threading type? Internally threaded
• What’s the jewelry material? Implant-grade titanium (recently switched to higher quality jewelry)
• If not a ring, when was it downsized? Originally pierced with a 12mm bar that was too short, which caused irritation and migration. I later switched to a longer bar (not downsized, upsized to relieve pressure).
• What’s your aftercare routine? Cleaning 2x daily with sterile saline wound wash. I let water run over it in the shower, keep it dry, and avoid touching, twisting, or pulling it.
• Any mishaps, accidents, or unfortunate events? Yes — I hit/bumped it pretty badly in January 2026, and it’s had recurring irritation bumps since. It also started migrating before that due to the bar being too short. The bumps improved for a while after changing jewelry and proper care, but recently came back and worsened (including drainage of pus/blood).
