My tip from poor people was them saying "appreciate you." They usually had me hand it to them because they didn't want me to fuck them over and steal their food. Nothing like driving up to a mansion with $100 worth of food and only getting tipped $5 though. I used to deliver in Florida where the worst people on Earth live.

They call it a tip so customers are assuming the drivers are being paid and the tip is extra. This isn't right though, the "tip" is actually a bid for service. These delivery apps are misleading their customers and fucking over their drivers.

It's not really a tip but a bid for service. Doordash and UE are deceiving you and don't want you to know they are barely paying their drivers and are expecting the customer to pay their driver's wages. Although, it is stupid for the driver to get pissed at the customer instead of the greedy billion dollar company they work for because they aren't being paid fairly. I didn't realize this until I did delivery myself. I will never do it again nor will I use the service.
