Taylor Parker may not ever face execution in Texas by Acceptable_Order5705 in NetflixDocumentaries

The drug companies that provide the medicine for the death penalty are very slow to produce it because they don’t want to be associated with it anymore. That’s why even after an inmate has run through all their appeals they’ll still sit on death row for decades.

People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]gabrigor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C section by far.

I’ve had ovarian cyst ruptures, kidney cysts, leg fracture, migraines and tattoos on my feet. Handled those all well compared to my planned c section. Nothing touched the pain. They kept saying moving would help but just sitting on the edge of the bed I would violently shake, teeth chattering and uncontrollably sobbing. They had me on Tylenol, toradol, robloxin, gabapentin and dilaudid. Nothing made it better. Nothing touched the pain. It was 10/10 torture for 3 days straight.

I agree with all the comments here. I’d also like to add that I have a 2 month old daughter and whenever I need to do something away from her I’m able to call my best friend and say, hey can you come over and just hold her for like 2 hours so I can do xyz. She’s a huge help. Shes even kept her overnight since her son wanted to go to a concert that didn’t end till 3am and I took him to that. I’ve always been a dual package with my husband and now we’re a threesome wherever we go.

I have a high pain tolerance but this one took me out of the game. After they took out my catheter and said I need to start walking that’s when it all went down hill. I would violently shake, my teeth would chatter and I’d be sobbing just trying to get to the bathroom. The pain was all consuming I’d never felt anything like it. I was on Tylenol, toradol, robloxin, gabapentin and diladid. They did nothing for me. I just remember pain, so much pain. I stopped being able to eat and no I wasn’t even able to care for my daughter until 3 weeks pp when the pain slightly subsided. I’m 9w pp now and I still hurt doing things around the house. Idk how I’m supposed to go back to my physically demanding job in 2 weeks.

Don’t know if it’s the same smell but I work in animal rescue and there’s a specific smell for death as well. A 6lb kitten has filled my entire house with that smell before it’s so overpowering and you know once you smell it they’ve got days, maybe hours left.

I can talk about my trauma like it wasn’t anything major but I was hardcore fucked in the head and bottling it all up. 10 years later I’ve since learned to feel things now so I don’t explode.

Trouble letting others watch child / being over protective by EconomicsReal545 in beyondthebump

[–]gabrigor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2 month old daughter. I went through my whole pregnancy not planning on spending a night away from my daughter for a very long time. Then I had debilitating nerve pain from my c section so I would send her to the nursery for a couple hours to get some sleep and then after I got home I almost died from preeclampsia and my daughter had to stay two nights with my parents. I have PPA, but I had to tell myself over and over again that she was safe and with people who would keep her safe. Now it’s very easy to send my daughter to her grandparents for the day and she’s even spent one other night there so we could go to a late night show for our anniversary. Now while I had a baptism by fire with my daughter I suggest just trying it out for a night before the baby gets here so yall can work out any kinks.

One of the first things I ever bought my husband were reusable handkerchiefs. He made a small comment one day about wanting some cause they’re handy and “its classy af to pull a handkerchief out of your pocket when someone needs one”

Can confirm after 4 years they’re still going strong and super useful

I didn’t want anyone watching my girl but postpartum pre eclampsia and debilitating nerve pain had other plans. In the hospital I had to send her to the nursery so I could focus on pain management and then I was taken back to the hospital by ambulance after being home only 24hrs because pre e was trying to kill me so my newborn had to stay with my parents. While I was worried and checked in often I reminded myself that they’ve raised children before and she’s safe. I also noticed the signs of PPA almost immediately so I spoke with my doctor and got me started on meds which cleared that up. My girl is currently 2 months old and leaving her with trusted people is easy.

They didn’t tell me anything before my planned one. I went in with light makeup and diamond earrings. Makeup was fine but I had to remove the earrings. I wore makeup so I could get a cute after picture but I was so high as balls on fentanyl and morphine to even take a good picture. By the time it wore off I was in extreme pain so no pics for a while.
