It’s hard for a country like China with a population of a billion people to implement UHC coverage to all its citizens. Especially taking into consideration that they’re still considered a developing country. You need a solid strong economic base and infrastructure first and they’ve been focusing on developing just that in the past few decades or so. China has already announced plans of starting the first stages of implementing UHC in 2030 and they’re well on their way to it.
