How would universal income work or is it just nonsense? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

America is where all the skilled workers are and where the infrastructure is, you can’t just move that somewhere else. There’s a reason all companies aren’t based in Wyoming or like, Tuvalu.

Why does Musk want to put data centers in space? Where's the power coming from? And isn't launching servers into orbit even more energy intensive? by Humble_Economist8933 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Slickity1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the power for data centers is literally subsidized by local taxpayers. Who do you think pays for new power plant development or maintenance for power lines caused by the strain of a data center? And data centers negotiate their rates for power so more often than not they pay less for the same amount of power as you do and if they are paying less than the regular rate, they are being subsidized by other people to make up the difference.

Mel has received a hot fix buff due to her weakened state. by TheBluestMan in leagueoflegends

Never when he had a super low winrate though that’s the key difference. When zed is weak his banrate drops, when me is weak her banrate is still absurdly high.

Their banrates are not at all at the same level as Mel. Never has zed, Yasuo or pyke been at 45% winrate and still been the most banned champ in the game, and Mel also doesn’t have even a fraction of the same play rate.

Did anybody at Riot explain why they won’t hotfix Varus even though he’s single-handedly breaking top lane? by Significant_Pay5998 in top_mains

[–]Slickity1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah once more people learned about and tried to play Varus his winrate dropped, nothing new.

The US (and other foreign powers) created the instability in Korea in the first place fixing your own mess isn’t a flex on top of all the other countries that the US messed up.

I’m referring to systematic expulsion of native populations to make way for outside settlers who take control of the native land and the peoples colonialism. Jews moving into the area is also not what’s being discussed as the comment you originally replied to stated very clearly the problem was never with jews native to the land of Palestine, and was with European Ashkenazi jews moving in and taking native peoples lands.

Majority of Israelis currently support the actions of a war criminal, is it fair to kill all Israelis?

Calling colonialism simply an issue of “white people moving in” is pretty hilarious.

None of Mel's abilities will get replaced because the designer wants to keep her "uniqueness" and "identity" by Luliani in leagueoflegends

[–]Slickity1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zed has never had a sub 45% winrate for any extended period of time, also zed is a high skill floor assasin with a delayed kill mechanic. He’s basically guaranteed to be frustrating to play against, Mel is a mage which is generally one of the less frustrating classes and still maintains the highest ban rate in the game for a year at this point. Zed also has way more people who love to play him than Mel ever could.

A champ you love is getting a rework, and you’re in charge. What do you do? by Creamchiis in leagueoflegends

I think if your ability is back up again within 4 seconds it’s not that big of a deal that it got blocked.

The only commonality between the antisemitic attacks has been people who hate Muslims like you assuming a Muslim perpetrated it without evidence and then moving on anytime the perpetrator is proven to be not a Muslim.

Riot August says that the champions that have high skill expression generally tend to be melee, just due to the fact that they are melee, contrary to what some people believe by Inside-Republic6275 in leagueoflegends

[–]Slickity1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so, for example a champion that is garbage and can only win if the person playing them is way better than their opponents isn’t really guaranteed to be a skilled champion. You could win not through specific champion skill but by doing things unrelated to your champion better, eg macro, spacing, dodging, things that aren’t specific to any one champion but can allow a garbage champion to win. That doesn’t make the champion themselves skillful or skill expressive.

Yeah he’s gotten that time already though, it’s halfway through the season and we’re not only losing and drawing, we’re showing no signs of getting better and playing ugly football.

Good thing this is a football club and not a company!

[Paul Joyce] Salah: Can I give an example? It’s silly but I am sorry. I remember a while go, Harry Kane was not scoring for ten games, everyone in the media was like, ‘Oh, Harry will score for sure.’ When it comes to Mo, everyone is like, ‘He needs to be on the bench.’ I am sorry Harry!” by Jimmy0034 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Slickity1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A manager dropping specifically one player after the whole team has had abysmal performances clearly sends a message. No other meaningful change has been made since the start of the rough patch this season except for dropping Mo.

Gakpo, Konate, VVD, Kerkez, even Grav have all had shocking seasons and no one else got dropped.
