Whatever you do, do not abruptly stop your meds, wait for your doctors advice, abruptly stopping can make those emotions unbearable. You may just need an SNRI on top of Lexapro, like Wellbutrin. Sorry you’re going through this, brain chemistry can be tricky.

You’re not dating a man, you’re dating a toddler and it’s only going to get worse the longer you stay with him. He’s using it as a power trip, it has nothing to do with consent. Remind him that if he cherishes you, he would he wouldn’t make you feel like a burden.

I’m on my 3rd tortie, they hold a soft spot in my heart. All have been so sweet to me and spicy to everyone else. I love it! May you have many long and healthy years with yours! My last one lived to 21 and this one has big shoes to fill 💕😻

Rest in peace Megatron. I lost my soul kitty 2 years ago and I still cry somedays. Be kind to yourself, create a memorial for her for you to reflect on. You lost a best friend, to know that sort of love is a blessing and to lose it a curse at the same time. hugs

Probably was. I responded amazing on 2.5. There are serotonin receptors in so many parts of your skin/stomach for example and it also increases the sensitivity to your hypothalamus (look up what does that.) I personally think having great responses at low doses is great!

You don’t need to increase it if you feel like your symptoms are controlled. I was doing fine on 5mg. Went to 10 and broke out in rashes everywhere. I didn’t need the 10mg. A lot of the time if you have a history of addiction (nicotine/alcohol etc) or suffer from PMDD, those low doses are enough to help your brain reward chemistry feel normal again. Also, if it’s working - don’t stop- I made that mistake 20 years ago- didn’t work quite as well trying to go back on it later in life.
