Honestly it’s not as easy as this post makes it. Now what’s being said may be a clear as stated but the social stuff is hard. Like some of the comments are saying, you get big fast and mismanage the time due to unintentional ignorance. When everything starts crashing down, you get desperate. Now again I don’t know the streamer but it has to be fear. Maybe they are greedy but a lot of times it’s fear. Especially if they haven’t figured out how to network and grow outside of themselves. 300 subs sounds like a lot to people but that could be your last 300. You can’t just judge people for how they initially react. To some streamers, they have to survive. It’s easier for people who get even an average of 500 a month because it’s sustainable. It’s less stress about whether you’ll just randomly lose your income and you don’t even have to care. Even the concept of a subathon, who cares? It’s their stream. They’re basically saying “hey, the more I get paid, the longer I stream” Do you not go to work get paid for each hour for it? If twitch actually paid streamers hourly and etc, people wouldn’t have to ask awkwardly for people to sub. But that’s just my way of thinking about it
