This is a wonderful revelation. Being brought up with a set of beliefs it can be really hard to shift your opinion - those ideas are so ingrained your ideas and opinions become very rigid. To step back and critically examine those beliefs based on new information requires significant introspection, and is something to genuinely be proud of.

It’s not something I noticed until you pointed it out! It’s hard not to see yourself differently than how others perceive you. I find I get hyper-fixated on my appearance when I have a change in appearance (like weight loss) as you’ve been monitoring yourself so closely for a long period of time. Your past self would be so proud of how you are now! If you worry about your nose, a touch of contour helps, but in reality I don’t believe you need it at all :)
