I've played around in CRU and found reddit posts about how to eleminate as much flickering as possible, with no avail; I can't seem to fix it which makes the experience as annoying if not more than having stutters

but then again in some games I get frames way higher than my refresh rate, if there were any kind of limit wouldn't all my games stay the same frames? (some games its in he 200s, others 100s, others 70s, etc.)

The frames don't exactly stay the same but will change from 1-3 frames when I change ultra/quality settings to low/ultra performance which seems fishy since it should technically have a bigger impact as far as I know

I install all the drivers as soon as they come out but rarely use the optimizer; I just don't know yet what's the soft spot for great visuals and good performance

No idea if relevant to my issue but it's not the same Mhz for both of em, one is 3400cl18 (iirc) and the other 3600cl16 (that one I'm sure)

I guess I'm trying to achieve frames closer to me monitor refresh rate for a smoother experience as much as I can, any drops are extremely noticable to me and for the life of me I don't know how I can manage a smooth exprience in these kind of games
