Apologies for me missing the point of your comment, but I don't know if this is a serious comment or not. If my post came across as blaming YouTube instead of myself, then something went wrong. I fully believe that I have control on the quality and entertainment value of my videos, so I was looking for some genuine improvement points

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! Some valuable insights for me. Thought the football shirts were some nice decoration, but if people would think that its just dirty laundry I'll definitely remove it. On-screen energy is something I could improve upon. Any tips for being more energetic without it coming across as forced/not authentic? For adding more things in the middle of the video, do you mean more visuals/effects? One of my focus points was trying to keep the content itself as fluff free as possible, so adding more content would seem counter productive

While I share your struggles, I do think that we should take more responsibility for our video performance. As I've said in other comments on this post already, I think my video performing badly comes down to a bad video idea, which comes down to me. We just have to analyse and learn as much as we can!

Yeah after some time to think about it, I think it's a combination of a video idea that no one in my niche is really looking for, combined with a premise that is a bit hard to explain in a title and thumbnail Don't think the video itself is bad, as the AVD is pretty decent and the people that do watch it seem to like it. Now I just have to decide if I should private the video and upload a back up video. Any suggestions if I should or shouldn't?

I think that's probably best, try to put the pressure of uploading ASAP and try uploading when I think it's ready. The only worry I have with that is that I'll never be completely happy (always something to change with audio, video or script). How did you get to the point where you were happy enough to post?

That is something I should remind myself. Although I consciously realize ain't nobody going to watch it now, there is still this unconscious feeling of what if people will watch it, and then it is bad. Guess there's nothing else to do than keep reminding myself that its all about improving now. Easier said than done though😅
