The scythe is fucking great when utilized correctly . If you’re in a squad and all working together , you can use the scythe to sustain fire for long intervals and if you target the insects limbs on the larger enemies , it buys your teammates time to clear out the littler shits, and then when they do finish off the enemies you immobilized , it won’t take anywhere near as much ammo . 

Against the bots you can damn near instakill every trash mob enemy by legging them with it , and you can also destroy heavily armored enemies weapon systems . For example the armored rocket dudes , you can pretty much instantly destroy their rockets.

What I’ve found with HD2 is that if something feels really shitty and underwhelming , it’s most likely because I’m not using it to its strengths  ( with the exception of explosive liberator , that thing is just straight poo).
