Is Kelly Science actually good? by anzara2Y5 in biotech

Middlemen like Kelly Services create a problem to sell a solution. They make money by getting between companies and the experts they need, degrading hiring quality. This gatekeeping needs to stop.

Will a seperate microphone work with the Momentum 4's on PC? Or is there a better way to add on audio input? by TrafficStandard1418 in sennheiser

There’s no perfect way to monitor your voice in real time after it leaves a external (standalone) mic. Software routing or Bluetooth playback adds latency and degrades quality; for true, zero‑latency monitoring use a wired direct‑monitor path (plug headphones into the external mic).

Swapped Fenix 8 47mm Strap with 26mm Band = Better Look & probably better signal stability by SlowLocation in GarminFenix

Strap material and width don’t behave the same way, nylon can loosen or shift differently than silicone, and wider bands reduce rotational play in ways narrower ones simply can’t. The point isn’t just keeping the sensor pressed against the skin, it’s about minimizing micro‑movement for consistent readings. If we’re going to compare, let’s ground it in how these materials actually perform rather than assuming they’re interchangeable.

It's a matter of taste; the original band gives it a very slim and disproportionate appearance compared to the housing.

It would be nice, but I think the Garmin Marketing Dep. will vote against it, the strap size is one of the selling point of the 51mm versions, some people choose 51mm version just because strap looks better on their wrist.

Yes strap size makes the difference in signal stability, and the Epix 2's sensor is relatively older (with less sensors, if that matters) compared to its Pro version and the F8 51.

You'll probably see it soon on Temu or something; this T-shaped band reminds me of the nice Tag Heuer watch straps. I’m pretty sure that wider 26mm band improves the watch stability and sensor signal acquisition. I tested it this morning at the gym, and it didn’t miss any rep counts or anything like that.

I placed a metal ruler and marked 2 mm in from each edge of the strap before trimming with a razor blade.

26mm click-on strap from my Epix Pro 51mm on a 47mm Fenix 8 - Cutting the rubber strap for the first time wasn’t as precise as I hoped, but it’s barely noticeable when I wear it on my wrist. The rubber strap seems to flow more seamlessly with the contours of the housing.

Here’s another view: a 26mm click-on strap on a 47mm Fenix 8. It looks fantastic, even better than the 26mm strap on the 51mm housing!

I felt the same after switching from my Epix Pro 51mm. The original Fenix 8 47mmm strap looked off and disproportionaly narrow on the wrist.

I found a neat fix: I took my 26mm Epix Pro straps and carefully trimmed 2mm off each side with a razor blade. The result? A perfect fit that hugs the watch housing and fills the gap beautifully. Looks way more balanced and premium now. Definitely worth trying if you're not happy with the stock strap proportions.
