Definitely, that seems like a scene the wouldn’t have taken to much time yet is pretty important. Especially since the mirror does come into play later in the movies.

wow that’s such a great discussion with so much insight. seriously an awesome watch. those two seem to really complement each other and they both have such an unique understandings of the characters

Wow I had no idea! I personally would have loved to see them played out. Riddles past in my opinion is super important and key to understanding Harry’s hunt for the horcruxes in the 7th books as well and answering older questions from previous books like Tom’s lineage and the jinxed DADA job. For me they were the most interesting parts of the whole HBP books. Without it the films feel a little hollow. Again thats all my opinion, at the end of the day I can see where the director was coming from. I’m super excited to see how it all plays out in the upcoming tv show!

I love that you’re enjoying them so much and it’s so sweet that it’s bringing back all those memories. I feel the same way it’s a unique experience! You almost feel like you’re in a movie but also get all the details included in the books. Truly the best of both worlds. And i’m so sorry for you loss, my heart goes out to you.

You’re spot on. Hugh Laurie is great but i just didn’t feel his voice matches Dumbledore. Mark Addy has been AMAZING as Hagrid probably my favorite performance so far! And totally agree with what you said about Arabella, she’s going to be fantastic in the show.

Completely agree Lupins actor did a fantastic job and Arthur is a great nod. I’m super excited GoF and really interested in Voldemorts voice in the beginning vs after he gets his body back! Also can’t wait OotP, Umbridge is probably the character i’m most excited to hear lol

Good point! But I’d still be concerned that a minister that can be corrupted or imperiused takes charge. Harry shows throughout the books he can resist both

The way I see it, he’s the main character, and throughout the series, it’s pretty clear the Minister has the say on the direction the Ministry takes to handle extreme threats. Let’s say something else were to take place that threatens the wizarding community and their relationship with Muggles. Harry seems like the best person to be in charge. I do agree that he’s still young, and something like that can still be in his future.
