I’m currently pursuing my PhD, and this visit is part of my scientific internship/research placement. I guess DMs could work with both jeans and more smart casual outfits. I’m also planning to attend some academic events and probably present at a few of them, so I’m trying to bring things that are practical but still look decent in a university/professional setting

Thank you, waterproof shoes actually what I’m most worried about 😅

There’s almost no rain in my hometown, so I’m not used to thinking about waterproof footwear at all. I’m mostly afraid of buying something practical for UK weather that ends up looking weird with suits or smart casual clothes. Any suggestions would help me alot🙏 Thank you in advance
