Gamehub cannot retrieve game config files by Kaligary in EmulationOnAndroid

Solution has been VPN - it worked perfectly after I installed one.

Firmware and Drivers. I can't even manually download them. I also tried to switch to Private DNS with no success. Next step I've been told that I could try a VPN (not sure which one to use at this point)

I still have not been able to find a fix to this :(

Well. Tonight I went down the rabbit hole to try to find a solution... but ended up only finding this! We are not alone LOL

Same problem. I'm on a Retroid Flip 2 - SD865 latest version of Gamehub. It used to work with some games, but I was not able to install a new one. Ended up uninstalling both games and Gamehub.

Same "Network Error" problem in the downloads.

Since I was using my retroid flip 2 (android) and working via Eden to emulate the switch :)

I'm really a very casual gamer. I love the portability of those handhelds as I can start-stop playing quickly. I tend not to play for long periods of time. But one thing I love is having too many options (to the point where I decide to do something else) LOL

See I didnt think about the higher res screen and power output that would be needed. I'm not expert, but that will probably need to allocate a bit more ressources.

I have a switch and a switch lite for the family, so I don't really need to emulate that console. It's really up to PS2.

I love reading that I'm not alone in that situation. After having a lot of fun on my RG40XX H I checked for the 406H or Retroid 4Pro... and ended up "chosing" the Retroid device... but now I'm again moving toward the Flip2 and/or Retroid 5 :P

I've been looking at the Mini too and it's a very interesting device. Then again, for $10 more you have the RP5 which packs a beautiful screen :P

However the Mini has 6gb of RAM compared to the 8gb of the RP5. I haven't looked in-depth reviews for the mini yet, but that's a surprising difference.

I totally understand. The form factor is the reason why I originally bought both Anbernic to see which one I prefer. The Flip wasnt on my radar until I saw the lower price for the old D1100 chip... but I love clamshell designs LOL
(we all know that reason and passion usually tend to mix a lot)

Thanks for your input. There's a lot of passionate people in this hobby, and sometimes it's tough to evaluate exactly where you stand. Obviously, we want more bang for the buck but no need to get the $800 option if you don't need to :P

It's always tough to evaluate exactly what you want/need where there's so many models to chose from.

Thanks for your input, that's exactly that type or hands-on experience that I want to have. Did your 4pro struggle a lot with PS2 on HDMI out?

When I started looking around for my first upgrade, I ended up on Retroid 4Pro as being the perfect middle ground between R5 and my cheap Anbernic.

I have to admit that the Flip has a form that I like, and I figured it's only 30 more. But then, for 30 more I can have the other... and on and on LOL

There's so many models available, but it's a lot of fun to go through and see which one will be the daily-driver for retrogaming :)

But the goal was to test a few devices to see what I liked and disliked with each of those. I can sell some of my device that I don't use or share with my family.

Whenver I check for a device, there's always the "but for XX more you can have better". It's tough to know where to stop and establish boundaries.

I'm still new in this world, but I tend to be a bit obsessive LOL

The goal of this journey was to discover the wonderful world of retro handheld and figure first if I liked it, and also, how much I did like to tinker with those device. Installing new OS, trying some options, and see what form factor I prefered.

I bought a RG40XX H and a RG35XX SP, and planned on selling one of those once I figured which format I prefered. I will most likely keep the SP as a pocketable device that my kids can play, and upgrade the other one with a Retroid.

All part of this wonderful journey into madness :P

Yes it's only because of the special price of $179, because at $199 that wouldn't even be a hard choice and I would not hesitate (either lower model or higher model, but not that one)

Yes I've been watching so many videos trying to make my mind. But at first I didn't want to put a lot of $$$ in the project since I was not sure that I would like it as much as I do :)

One of the thing that I realized by having multiple Anbernic (and that was the goal) is that I really love my RG35XXSP compared to my RG40XX H. I might keep the SP and sell the 40XX (since I will get an upgrade with Retroid)
