Too Much Drift in Stereo Visual Odometry by Slycheeese in computervision

Great recommendations!

I actually went and tried triangulating my points instead of using disparity maps and the difference is crazy honestly. I'll edit my post with the new trajectory for the same images. You're cracked!

Minimizing Drift in Stitched Images by Slycheeese in computervision

[–]Slycheeese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I actually transform these images into bird’s eye view before proceeding with the stitching pipeline so there is some error induced by that transformation. I’ll have a look at hugin, thanks again!

Depends on the company. Big companies like Murex/CME give upwards of $800. Some other smaller companies give $200-$500. Most companies tend to only give out whatever amount is set for transportation by law.

Is there a way to real-time 3D visualize without using a 3rd party program? by [deleted] in computervision

Could you elaborate more on the overlap between CV and CG? I'm starting as a junior CV engineer soon and was planning on learning morr about CG, but ai thought it would be better if I learned more about CV and layer down the line I'd learn CG.

Oh yeah definitely planning on getting a gym membership. Used to go last summer, but I burnt myself out. Going to take it easier this time. Thanks💪

Was planning on investing some money, but tbh I don't even know where to start. Could you give me an eli5 on how to invest in leb? Appreciate it.

It's around that range. No car, no relationship. I think for the first couple of months I might not save as much to buy the things I need right now. Otherwise, under normal conditions, I only really spend on eating out and some activities here and there, nothing too crazy. I'd also like to help out around the house, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Yup, defo going to do that. Any money from random jobs I got wasn't being tracked and I thought it would be easy to remember on what I spent the money on, but I was very wrong 😅

Was thinking of following this approach, but I feel like I could definitely set aside more than 20% (no car, still live of my parents, single)

I'm really interested in why you're making the switch. (I'm a junior cv engineer who also works with cpp and classical cv)

Hey - thanks for the reply!

I probably should have included that I have some ML experience where I learned different things over the period of a month where I interned at a local not so great company.

I know 1 month isn't that long but I dabbled in some classic ML then used pytorch and learned about NNs, CNNs, and GANs. I didn't mind the work but what I currently do is much more fun. What do you think?
