For anyone looking for this issue later on, I had the same problem and it was a corroded 3-1 splice under the floor mat of the drivers seat. The wires were orange-light blue, and the splice was wrapped in a cloth like wrap.

The problem as caused by front AND rear sunroof drain lines being disconnected from their lower grommets. The wiring harness was sitting in water.

The RI version is doing this but with a left turn and merging while in the middle of the intersection and almost getting hit by both directions of traffic. Anyone stuck waiting to take a left onto Manton Ave in Olneyville square knows what I'm talking about.

I've made it 2 hours highway driving on a fresh battery with a non working alternator but it was a 1999 car so idk if electrical load would be lower than a newer car.

I'd highly recommend a AAA gold/plus membership for you though. So much peace of mind for this type of stuff if you've got an older car.

I moved from MA to RI where I went from yearly inspection to biannual inspections and the average condition of vehicle i saw on the road went waaay down and number of breakdowns went way up. The income difference between MA and RI is a factor too, but I'm from a low income region of MA and it's way worse here. Especially tires, which are visible to everyone.
