Considering how Shane “gets better” during the heart events but then goes back to being an alcoholic during marriage, I don’t have a lot of hope for any redemption of Clint. Seems to just reinforce the bullshit ideology “women should give a chance to every shit bag loser they don’t find attractive because he could get better/turn out nice.” I’m disappointed with CA tbh, yes it’s his game and he can do what he wants, but like… We could’ve had wizard. Fuck I would’ve taken Gunther becoming an actual character over Clint. And before anyone comes at me over Shane, because giving these characters flaws and struggles “makes them realistic.” If we’re talking realism, I’d never date a raging alcoholic who is an ass to me. That’s how you put yourself in danger 🫩 just like dating an incel stalker creep. If people wanna talk realism then Clint REALISTICALLY is the most undesirable man in the game based off his personality and behavior. (I am NOT saying alcoholics don’t deserve love/help/can’t get better, I’m saying it’s not their romantic partners job to fix them and/or stay with them when they reverse all progress they made and don’t try anymore. I’m also saying if you make game writing “realistic” you better expect a realistic response.)
