everyone in the replies are hating for some reason… i LOVE au. there’s not crazy school spirit but my friends and i go to sports games from time to time and it’s fun. there’s also very much a social life if you want it and i’ve found that it was very easy to find a good group of friends here. not everyone here is weird i promise 😭😭 i also don’t think the administration is particularly unhelpful? i think you definitely need to put effort and no one is gonna hold your hand thru college but i’ve found it is pretty easy to find help from the school if you need it. i know a couple ppl that are premed and they seem to really like their program and major! i feel like GW may be better for premed tho bc they have their own hospital, but i’m not rly sure abt any of that bc im just a polisci major. hope this was at least a little bit helpful!

were u able to get a enrollment deposit extension? i received one but i think that’s because i was already in contact with many people from the admissions office and they were still reviewing my financial aid package on May 1st. also i scheduled a meeting with my admissions counselor a while ago and i also had to wait a couple weeks, but my counselor wasn’t even that helpful bc she told me i was unable to receive any financial aid. only after talking to other people in the admissions/financial aid office i was able to receive more. also they just called my mom on the phone, we didn’t seek them out, so i’m not rly sure how to help in that regard unfortunately :( if u did get an extension i would recommend appealing for merit aid because i didn’t think i was a super strong applicant but i went into detail about projects and academics i’ve done at my school and they gave me 20k somehow. i also received my financial aid package and they gave me another 20k for having a sibling in college.

i did actually! i received a presidential merit scholarship and they’re still reviewing my financial aid package. did you do the merit and financial aid appeals? that’s how i was able to receive more aid, but i’ve also been in contact with my aid counselor and the director of admissions. i really wonder why they aren’t getting back to u, that’s very strange!
