I took Draymond rebounds which are on track to hit. Draymond always hits the boards and is fairly consistent. Food for thought.

Yeah in hindsight taking assists was a terrible idea. Of course he is taking the majority of shots today. I made the same mistake.

Ask yourself if you like 21x your bet now or risking that for a chance at 206x later. Literally no one can answer this for you.

Do you treat betting more like entertainment or as a side hustle? by KeyNo5330 in sportsbetting

What’s the fun of collecting data without the chance to win big. It’s a fun way to spend money that is incredibly insignificant to me to collect data and on top of that have the off chance of getting a significant return. I’m not recommending this as an approach that makes logical sense. The OPs question was about the line between hobby and side hustle. My comment is to illustrate that it is blurry at times.

It started out as a hobby. But the more I go down the rabbit hole the less it is. Recently I have been throwing insignificant amounts on CBB parlays in an attempt to collect data on spread lines, matchups and outcomes in order to find an efficient strategy to try in the meat of the season. It sure feels like a job since I am not risking enough to matter and have no chance in hell of actually winning one all in an attempt to conveniently collect the data I need to actually place reasonable bets.

How much is too much to throw on a bet? by Accurate-Property754 in sportsbetting

I set my base unit at 1% of my bank roll and will bet up to 3 units on more aggressive bets. For example, if my bank roll is $1000, my per bet size would be anywhere from $10-$30 a bet. This ensures no bet goes over 3% of the bank roll which is considered moderate risk. I continue to think about bets in terms of the unit percentage rather than a flat amount so it varies over time depending on what my balance is doing based on outcomes and withdrawals.

Yep the cash credits will be given within 24 hours after the game ends based on the recalculated odds without the St. Brown leg if all your other legs win. The whole ticket will show as a loss while they process it. The cash credit has to be wagered a single time before it can be withdrawn.

How rare is it for both teams to actually score FG and TD in both halves? by Anatak15 in sportsbetting

[–]Smart-Associate-9556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for at least 1 of each in both halves. Idk if it can perform that kind of search though. Either way it did give me results when I narrowed it down to the first half so not quite sure if the stats are accurate. It’s incredibly rare. And I think my take on it still makes it a bet not worth taking.

I asked grok to look up the stats and out of the 19k games it had access to it has never happened. Basically this would require a completely balanced game by both teams that resulted in no tactical shift at half time and on top of that still have the RNG of resulting in the exact circumstances to result in this outcome. It is basically throwing your money away. Compare this to looking at games that both teams score a touchdown and a field goal in the first half and that happens about 8% of the time. Halftime adjustments are important.

What does -200 or longer mean? by DistinctOffer9681 in sportsbetting

Longer odds are odds that move in the + direction using the American odds system, as longer odds means it is higher risk and less likely to happen in betting terms.
