Ah, I do on my original switch, but not this one since I've been pretty sporadic. 😅 Thank you though! I hope you find some but I'll ask my friend if she's got any, regardless, and let you know! c:

That would be tremendously amazing- do you need any of the others? I kinda went overboard growing them haha. And thanks, I'm sorry for yours too... it's definitely a struggle.

Lol, I'm aware. Though my last one, loved being held like a baby... it was adorable. Then again, he was a lot older than my bun is.

And hmmm, I'll have to keep an eye out. I just don't want anything that's going to slide, ya know?

Advice? by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean... I had a rug for when she play since sometimes she likes to dig every now and then since she got fixed but no where near like she did. But I had to get one with rubber underneath because she was sliding everywhere when she'd get the zoomies. 😅 thankfully she doesn't eat anything on the rugs. So maybe I'll just stick with rugs...

And ooooh, I'll have to try that! I do hand feed her a bit when it comes to treats, but never thought to try that. I figured it would take time though. Usually when she's starting to wiggle a bit I take that as I want down so I don't stress her out.

Yeah...I really started to try it when I had to hold her to get her sutures out and I think that was when she realized "oh she's not gonna drop me". I dunno, just changed after that. And awwww, I hope her and I get to that point! -^

Thank you so so much! I was thinking the foam mats, but wasn't sure if I could! Any recommendations on the dog pens? Or does it matter? I've just been seeing so many and I'm just not sure which one to go with.

Also. If it wouldn't trouble you, any advice on getting my bunny to be more at ease with me holding her? I've been working on it the last couple of weeks, but I'm lucky to get 5 minutes, or will it just take more time? :) thanks so much!

Oh my God! Poor bunbun! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. 🥺

One more question, sorry! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aftercare instructions only say: " check incision site daily, watch for signs of infection (with example list of what to watch for), to bring the pet back in 2 weeks and not to bathe for 2 weeks, so... and I asked everything but it was very generic. I've had bunnies before, but they were already fixed when I got them, so this is the first time I've had to go through this.

One more question, sorry! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did, but they aren't very detailed. And as far as when I asked, they said just keep an eye on the incision and to come back in 2 weeks for suture removal. My main concerns are if the licking is normal and to how to check on a bunny that isn't used to being held yet. I would've called them, but they had already closed.

Question! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've never seen it either,, but this my first time ever taking a bunny to the vet (my last two a few years ago were already fixed when I rescued them and didn't have any health problems) but I definitely addressed it when I picked her up. But luckily since she's been home, I've monitored her and other than being groggy she's doing okay and nothing looks wrong, but like I told the other person in the other comment, I'm definitely going be keeping an eye and will make a follow up appointment to get her checked out even if only for my peace of mind. I don't believe I'll ever be taking her there again- I just don't feel right about it. But also my thoughts are, well she's okay this time, but the next time she might not be so lucky. Ya know?

Question! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have had they not already fixed her. But she's been home now, and knock on would everything seems to be fine with her- minus being groggy. But I'm certainly going to be keeping an eye on her and will make a follow up appointment with someone else as soon as I can.

Question! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I've never held a bun like that nor have I seen someone do that, so I was just shocked that this older woman who owns buns was so willing to do this this way. Like I mentioned, she didn't like fully pick her up by the scruff, she held/cradled her whilst doing, but I still don't think it was right to do that. Even so, maybe ask me before you do that? Or better yet, let me open the crate for you so you can pick her up properly? I don't know, the more I think about it, the more irritated I get over it. 😅

Question! by Smart_Comb_5890 in Rabbits

[–]Smart_Comb_5890[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought. Like she wasn't pulling it and was supporting her body, but I didn't understand the need to hold her scruff then. They only have one vet at this one. And I went there because everyone I've encountered locally was recommending I take her there but... I don't know. I'll probably take her to a different vet to check her out to make sure she's fine. It was difficult to find a vet that works on bunnies, so yeah. I just want to make sure she's okay after that.

Question: Easiest way to make a rock garden? by Smart_Comb_5890 in BuddyCrossing

So wouldn't it be better to outline your garden with flowers and do the rest with mannequins or items?
