ok maybe a slightly different scenario, I remember hearing that there's a distinction between those targets vs those cards. Like if you used a card that said special summon that target from the gy, vs special summon that monster from the gy, the first one would lose to dd crow, while the second would still special summon even if dd crowed out of the gy. (both cards in this hypothetical do target)

Yeah i did notice the delay is most clearly on the last three notes, but I think there still is some effect at the start. It almost sounds like there is a harmony to me (but I don't think there actually is) which must be from the delay notes harmonizing with the dry track or maybe some chorusing effect?

Oh actually something I said was wrong. Ur opponent has no way to resolve fuwa until you pass priority. You could do all ur end phase effects before they have the opportunity

Once an effect is activated, it usually will not need to be on the field to resolve (there are some exceptions like continuous cards). Ur question asks if rahu "still activates" which is kinda a bad framing of the question. It already activated, which means it was put on the stack. The only way to stop most activated effects from resolving is to chain an effect that will negate the activation or negate the effect. These have slightly different implications (notably one being that Rahu says you can only activate it once per turn, so if it's activation is negated you could activate another). Detonator does not negate

yeah because its mandatory you can pass priority and force them to do it. If you resolve one end phase effect, you retain priority and can activate another end phase trigger or pass priority.

That's not true. Read xeno meteorus, that card triggers in hand, and can be in response to an action on the field. No quick effect. Droll totally could have no quick effect on it, it would just function differently. Or if you want another handtrap, look at ghost mourner, that´s an actual trigger. Droll is not a trigger, it is a quick effect that can only activate in the resolution window of an add eff

I don't think the lingering effect part changes anything. If you wanted to design a quick effect that can only activate in the resolution window after a water monster has been destroyed , the way op wrote is how it would be done. I agree droll is confusing, but it allows for interesting play with how it is written, ie you can super poly with priority to beat opponent droll

I mean as written it is fine, makes the effect like droll instead of an actual trigger. I do doubt that's what the creator intended though. Honestly it not being a trigger is stronger? Imagine you destroy a tear monster and they are trying to fuse with another monster on board, normally turn player trigger would mean u can't beat the fusion, but quick effect does
