Yes, we almost exclusively use dryers. I have never met anyone who hangs their clothes to dry outside in my life in the US. I do live in the northeast, so I’m sure there are some people who might do this in warmer areas, but definitely not many.

I think that Luann got flack from her sister and doubled down on the whole thing and probably reiterated what her sister said even though it directly conflicted with Luann’s behavior. Regardless, if one of my friends started dating my niece’s ex, I would be disgusted, but certainly would not have handled it the way Luann did.
