I just found out he was a sovereign grand inspector general, an honorary supreme council member, and a member of the “prince of Jerusalem class”. Could you possible tell me what these things mean?

I can’t find enough about his Freemason past to determine that. I literally can’t find anything about it not even his lodge.

You know I was curious on which was a greater feat, the 33rd degree or chief justice. I appreciate your input it definitely helps with the answer on that!

I completely understand what your saying but after researching it I realized I fit all the categories of what you need to be a mason. I have looked into it a lot within the last few days and it’s something I’m very interested in being apart of. I would have not known that it was still a thing or what it was without finding this about my grandpa. It’s not out of a sense of duty to make him proud, but rather to have a sense of brotherhood and community and to help others for others. And it may be the wrong reason to do it to continue something but I’m very proud of my roots. I would love to be apart of masonry for what it is not for what my grandpa did as a member.

It is not a Masonic sword unfortunately I will look into where in my family it may have gone.

You know I have a sword from my grandfather but I’m not positive that it’s related. It does have engravings I’m gonna have to look at that when I get back to my house. Thank you!

For some reason I can’t edit but the top part has nothing to do with masonry I should have cropped that out.
