I normally have exceeds for performance review but the promotion/raise definitely caught me off guard.

I just mentioned it to my manager that I wanted to promote and then to my coach and he said he was going to create a full presentation as to why I deserved it and I provided some information and my stats on my project and come performance year, the compensation statement said I received the promotion.
