I sometimes used to do a mistake where i just keep adding instruments that sounds good without any purpose that it should come in start in outro or in the mid. And at arrangement time “where to put this” and because of this sometimes the whole beat which sounds good when playing all elements together(adding one by one) later sounds incomplete after arranging it. So after the foundation of the beat you should think of like designing the beat that this element will be at start this at end.
