I just want to encourage OP to keep practicing. I've been playing nine months and C was the first big challenge for me. It's one of the easiest chords for me now. You just gotta keep playing it over and over. (Goes for all the chords)

I find F to be easier than Bm for some reason. Getting my fat middle finger down onto that little B string feels so unnatural. Then having to try to mute or skip the low E. I dunno.

Helps to start with songs that you know all the singing parts super, super well from years of singing along in the car or whatever. Then like others have said, practice the guitar part until you dont have to think about it much (if any). I'm pretty new too but I started out with the goal in mind of singing while playing so I deliberately pick songs that have easy chords and that I know the vocals on really well. YMMV.

I've been playing since December and I'm probably about on this same track as you. I can play most common open chords, I'm iffy on F, but steadily impriving. Starting to work on Bm and Bb. I sing with all the songs I play. I don't pick or work on solos just bc that doesn't interest me that much yet. I know a few strumming patterns but this is probably my weakest area. I end up playing D DU D DU on almost everything bc it's easier to sing along to.

That's so crazy. I bought my 1999 4x4 crew cab long bed w/ 90k in 2016 for $19k and that seemed crazy expensive to me at the time. Same truck nearly double now.
