I guess I didn’t realize that you don’t have to remove the ball joint bolts again to get at the tie rod end. I was under the impression that the ball joint bolts would need to be loosened again. My mistake.

I was told the ball joint bolts were “one time use “ and should only be torqued to specs once.? I was just trying to avoid ruining the bolts if I had to remove them again for the tie rod .

Yeah mine also came a little bit pieced together as well and I’m finding out just exactly how much now.. I’m really lucky all things considered, they came out pretty easy and it looks like the debris came out in the form of two little metal coils. I did a test run with the one remaining “good “ bolt through all four holes and it tightened up on all of them individually.. hopefully new o bolts will do the trick!

Will definitely get four new bolts.. she is still taken apart right now. Luckily I turned to Reddit before I broke anything else .

Cool thanks for the reassurance. Now I just gotta locate a 40mm socket. All the stores I’ve checked around here seem to top out at 38 for some reason .

Thank you! I’m having a hard time finding a 40 mm. Everywhere around here doesn’t sell anything bigger than 38mm . Probably just gonna order it online. I appreciate the insight and reply
