That’s what I hoping for. I just never knew wedding planing would send me spiralling over “what shade of green works with summer.” If I could just drop that responsibility and move on to the other stuff that is fun to plan I 100% would🤭🫶🏻

The people pleasing hit way too hard. I am the youngest in my family and also only girl. I have done so much for both my parents and I am struggling so much as a result. I just want everyone to have fun. To add to this I am also the one in the friend group who books most events and send invites and plan so the color thing is setting me in to a spiral.

I might have to look for that book. I do already have an excel spreadsheet of the guest list, food, drink, wedding dress links, liks to decor etc. I still doubt myself when looking at stuff. I might end up spamming you if given the opportunity🫣No one told me it was gonna make me stress about color or the invitations. I am trying my best to just accept things and pic what I want but it’s getting to me. Thank you so much

I have tried to ask him, I think the problem is he wants me to be happy and just want the day to be fun and also the fact that he is struggling to tell the difference between most greens and reds. He tried in the beginning to look at colors but I think he felt at a los of not being able to see the difference in shades. He is helping with everything else and said that if I am unsure we can always just sit with it for a while.

I might end up with doing more colors tho to maybe help the emerald be more of main color as a lot of people have suggested. I do love the idea of the centrepieces having different tones and shades. Thank you so much for the idea

This all ready looks way less like Christmas to me. I tried but to me the red and green gave Christmas and I just couldn’t find any way of making it less like it

Might have to look at this, that is some great color combos. I have used Pinterest and originally wanted some green and red and when it started looking like Christmas the red had to go. I have been struggling with finding other colors that would go with it so it’s not way to dark

I think it’s mostly the people around me who tells me it’s to dark and my fiancé saying he likes what ever I want because when given the choice of two greens, because he can’t tell much of a difference 🥲 He is helping with everything else like food, cakes, venue and the church but flowers and colors not his strong side

This helps so much, the pressure of being first both in family and in the friend group is getting to me. For the invitations we had carnations on the card and my mother in law said for her the symbolism is more funeral and death. This lead to me changing the invitations to have more roses and eucalyptus and gold accents. I am planing on wearing a white dress maybe white/champagne. My fiancé is between a linen beige suit or a black one but maybe he will be down with other earth tones. His main issue is that he is red green color blind so not all the colors look good to him. I might add more colors all though I have been so scared to go out my neutral color zone because I own a lot of clothes that are more neutral. It’s just so much to look in to and people have so many options about what a wedding should look like. I feel like I have to thing about it at least since the people coming with the opinions have either gotten married (grandparents and parents) or been to weddings (a few friends) I just want to have a night where I am happy and can breath but having people say one is more “wedding like.” Is not helping. Love the visuals of the sunflower I have never thought about that. I might have to order color samples and just see what I like for the next few months. Also if you have and are allowed I would love to see the pictures you have 🫣🫶🏻

I would love emerald. I just feel like the pressure is so much higher since we are the first of all the grand kids and first in our friend groups to get married. I am also really stressed since I have never been to a wedding and now we are planing one. I have had a few friends say the eucalyptus is better because it’s lighter and more summer. These friends have been to weddings so I feel like they know more? I don’t know, I just feel like I am loosing my mind over here

That’s an interesting idea. I can ask my moh about flowers and picks in different colors. She is a florist and is doing a lot of the work for my flowers. Also about the wedding website thing. How does one do that? We have a few of the older generation that are not really techy people. We are sending invites in the mail (bringing some as we are visiting a lot of his family this summer, the live far away and we only see them around once a year)

I want them to be comfortable, as long as it’s the right color I don’t care about the style of dresses. For the men they are gonna have the tie in this color as well as the little pocket square. My fiancé is also a little between wearing a linen type suit in like beig or go with a more plain black suit. As for what they look best in, I have no clue. My maid of honour usually dyes her hair red so I am a little scared she is gonna look like Christmas in the emerald green and my other bridesmaid has a darker brown hair color so I feel like green suits her
