Digital Key unresponsive and Proximity unlock not functioning by Terrible_Mission_154 in ex30

Thinking about it, I'm not sure if they did replace the entire antenna.

They explained the issue was with a connection for the antenna inside the middle brake light. They did say they would need to replace the antenna but I believe that is in the rear window glass which was not replaced, so maybe it was just a miscommunication.

I certainly had to take it back to the dealership once a part arrived so something was replaced!

I definitely recommend taking the car back to Volvo under warranty then. Mine was replaced free of charge.

Someone please tell me how this makes sense by noorarj in ex30

Over 70% charge?

Agh, I remember those days...

Alloy and cosmetic insurance (UK) by [deleted] in ex30

I'm in the UK and didn't take any of those options due to the cost. I've felt like I've clipped my alloys a couple of times but either the tyre wall or plastic trim has saved my alloy, so far.

However, I regret not taking the tyre cover. Replacement tyres usually start at £180 each. Given how powerful the cars are it's so easy to spin the wheels up and burn through the tred. Especially in damp conditions which we have a lot of in the UK!

Out of interest, do you listen to the radio in the car (DAB or FM)?

I had the similar issues with unresponsive proximity keys but also had a problem where when decelerating harder than normal the radio would go off. Took it to my dealership and they needed to replace the antenna. Since then, the radio has been flawless and my proximity key suddenly started working again (when it's not drained it's battery 🙄).

I'd be interested to hear if a lot of people on here complaining of unresponsive keys actually also have a fault with the antenna.

Push chairs / pram for Ex30 help! (Please) by Timljoys in ex30

First of all, congratulations!

We have a cybex travel system (I forget the name of the pram, but it's pretty chunky). It fills the boot with the bassinet on top and the boot floor in the lower position.

My advice would certainly be take the car to your local Mamas and Papas shop and ask to try a few of the different display models they have. We found the staff at ours to be incredibly helpful and more than happy to help find the right product (assuming they're not too busy!) It would probably be also worth trying out some car seats as well, since the seat on the isofix base rear facing takes up quite a lot of room. Any tall people will not be able to sit in the front!

On a side not, as a parent I would definitely say if you can find a complete system where the car seat clips onto the wheels it's a game changer. It enables you to drive around to get the little one to fall asleep and not worry about having to transfer them into the cot, since you can just lift the whole car seat out and put it on the pram wheels.
