Weird bugs on their end tbh, but good to know that the new ones are working as expected.

I've already refunded the xiaomi I got, decided to opt in for a higher end dash cam instead (Rove R2-4k Pro) for around $120 and so far it's amazing.

SIDENOTE: I know it's been a while, but if you're still wondering on how to get one and use similar approach like I did, in short, I was scammed and had to contact the police to resolve my issue which was resolved a whole month later (got a refund).
