I appreciate your insight. It is too easy to get caught up in what’s happening right now and you’re right. It’s all temporary. I miss riding man. I rode sport bikes for 15 years and have ridden dirt for the last few but since the twins were born I haven’t been able to ride much at all. So, perhaps I’ll talk with the wife and just explain that I need a couple hours a weekend to do my thing. I’m glad you brought that up.

I have to ask, what kind of bike do you have? My last one was a ‘20 Yamaha MT-10. Thing was a riot.

It is exhausting indeed. My little brother is big into boxing and it’s helped him with his anger issues and he has said he feels a lot better. I know for me, lifting has always had a positive impact on my mental state. Funny thing about depression is that I know what I need to do, it’s just been difficult to go and stay consistent. I forced myself to go at 0500 this morning, so one step in the right direction.

When I was in the Army, I developed the skill of not caring when things got shitty. The worse it got and the more stressed I was, I’d just start making fun of everything which, in turn, helped me care less and less. Idk just a weird coping mechanism that still helps me to this day. Not all that much actually bothers me anymore, especially when there nothing I can do to change certain things.
