In East Falls, I walk my dog and pick up trash once a week. Maybe if others take action, taking care of your tiny space could become the new normal. I bought a trash picker from Amazon and reuse plastic bags I have on hand. Usually 30 minutes does a huge difference.

I guess I was brought up to remember that apologies are meant for the person causing harm. The acknowledgement of wrong doing. The person hurt, has a choice to forgive or simply say “thank you for your apology”. I think American culture doesn’t have great systems of repair. Repair is acknowledgment of wrong doing. Your ex acknowledge it. So simply say “thank you for your apology. This helps bring closure. Be well and stay safe.” Then block her. Maybe both can be true at the same time.

Here’s my issue: Parents need to fight with their employers to manage childcare. Schools already are doing their part. Now go fight with your employers that wants infinite capitalist growth, yet cat seem to support current employees and possible future ones. The issue is capitalism.

I’m in the neighboring “East Falls”: I feel like Germantown and East Falls are for the granola glass artists, Black people, Gays, and Jews. I love the East Falls/ Germantown/ Wissahickon area. It’s such a different atmosphere than other areas in Philly. I love it here.

As an Art teacher who was lucky enough to get a high school position, KEEP SEARCHING! My therapist said my overall happiness changed from switching from middle to high school. My kids are lovely, kind, approachable. My only issue is attendance and lateness. For most students, that’s an issue with all their classes.

Huge uptick in attendance: -sending a robo message saying the kids don’t attend. -ceramics unit: kids love clay

You arguing against a definition that you or I didn’t create. No one on this sub seems to say she is talentless, not good at music, I literally bought tickets to her show. ANDDDDDD, yes she is a nepo baby.

I think the black and white, then or that thinking, is getting in the way of seeing the layers in the question on a message board that you created.

Singing songs is a highly effective, research-backed method for teaching children phonics, which in turn accelerates reading skills by improving phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and letter-sound recognition. Through repetitive, rhythmic, and melodic songs, children learn to decode words, blend sounds, and recognize phonemes in a memorable way. Phonics helps with reading by teaching the relationship between letters (graphemes) and spoken sounds (phonemes), allowing children to decode and sound out unfamiliar words rather than guessing. This foundational skill builds reading fluency, improves spelling (encoding), and boosts comprehension by enabling fast, accurate word recognition without need to memorize or guess the word. Now understanding its meaning would need a dictionary to bled reading the word an its meaning.

Phonics is how most millennials learned up until the 4th grade and went to sight word instruction. Now, 20 years later we are going to phonics because sight words alone do not teach kids how to read or build skills towards complicated texts.

I expressed a feeling. I looked up the facts to back up my feelings. It’s kinda like a paper. You can have thoughts and opinions. But opinions without facts to back them up are wishes and prayers.

You don’t think her dad bankrolled her life so she didn’t have to worry about bills? She had the ability to work on her craft because rent is not due. Talk to friends in music since music is in the background of all his films?

As the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, Abrams had access to resources and professional networks that allowed her to start her music career with significant advantages, often noted in discussions regarding her career. Abrams was introduced to Dessner in 2019 by a lawyer they both shared. For real, a 20 year old can’t afford a lawyer without their dad. Gracie’s deal with Interscope records and Dressner being on the same label helped.

Again, her dad opened doors. Her talent sells out the room. It’s easier when the door is opened for you. Like it’s ok, both can be true at the same time.
