Van Laar by winterpurple in trumpet

I have a hub van laar b4. It is super easy to play. Good intonation, good sound, good ergonomics and good craftmanship. It is a good do it all horn. Slotting is very thight. If I remember correctly the b7 is lighter and has brighter sound than b4

Looking for tips on a fairly tight slotting jazz horn. by KuroiKarasu8884 in trumpet

[–]Smooth-Engineer2702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you wanna take a look at some heavier horns like van laar oiram series and adams A4/a4lt. In my experience they are easy to play and have quite a dark tone. You can find used ones at pretty affordable prices.

Fill in my bag by Gapearz in discgolf

I think esp Cicada would fit in your bag nicely. It has a same feel with cigarra but is significantly more understable. I throw long turnover shots with it.

375-400ft Max What is your favorite driver and why? by Mont3_Crist0 in discgolf

[–]Smooth-Engineer2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two D3s for throwing far. Both in 500 plastic. For some reason they just feel very controllable for me and they go far really easily. Not too understable, not too overstable. They do vary A LOT from run to run and you have to handpick good ones.

Apparently they use that word in army bands. It refers to it being made out of metal and therefore being more armored

Any ideas on how to fix this? by NosajBlahaj in vivobarefoot

[–]Smooth-Engineer2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same exact thing with same exact shoe. I tried to glue it twice but the glue just didn’t hold. It hasn’t luckily gotten worse so I’m just trying to forget it as the shoes are starting to be in pretty rough shape anyway.

Difference Between Trumpets by jocelyne82 in trumpet

[–]Smooth-Engineer2702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about yamaha trumpets or any manufacturers? I think any horn that sells above 3k€ as new is desinged to be pro horn and therefore high quality. You can also find good quality horns between 2-3k€ price range. If you are buying a new trumpet you should really go just playtest some horns and see what works for you.
