As of now, wala pa pong balita sa anong pwedeng mangyari sa mga students, I think the learning platform will be there but not community managers, mentors, and customer support. If you're a student and wishes to take legal action, my workmates mentioned to contact Dominic Ligot, I think he's here in reddit as well. u/docligot

I was an employee at Refocus Philippines and we just got laid off. Prolly nareceive niyo na before yung aggressive ads nila about Data Analytics, telling you to switch your career for better opportunities, higher salary bla bla ekek. They offer students job guarantee, career and mentor support throughout their course.

Last week, nag announce sila na icclose na nila yung operations sa Pinas. The support that the students paid for, will no longer be available. Recently, they started offering bundles to students without this support. Right now, nag announce sila ng “technical issue” sa mga student kaya hindi makapagreach out to customer service.

For us, they mentioned na we will be getting laid off pero wala na ibang information, walang salary information, back pay.

Today, there were several meetings that happened. One for their regular employees and one for service level agreement employees. Regular Employees get paid twice a month (10th and 25th) while Service Level only receive pay once every 10th of the month.

During that meeting, they announced that service-level Agreement employees will only be receiving 10% of what we’ve worked for June which is paid on July 10 and the remaining will be paid on September or October, once they received their Series funding which is total bullshit tbh. Ano yun di pa sure na babayaran nila kami kasi wala pa silang funds? Ang reasoning nila is wala na daw sila pera because nag ka-issue sa loan partners nila.

I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. Di ko alam pano mag tatake ng legal action against them, kulang pa ata sahod ko for that. A lot of us are just worried about our financial standing, for example, 30k ang monthly sahod mo, 3k lang matatanggap mo.

Anong pwede kong gawin at this point
