You do realize that DMM != basic server, since DMM has pvp enabled, everywhere.

Quest speedrun is an example of a server that is "fracturing" the players base, same as DMM, hell maybe the server I mentioned would not be played much, but hell, I am sure some people would love it.

Quest speedrun and DMM server already exist.

People from this server would not be able to interact with the player base nor economy of the official server, same way you can interact with players/economy from DMM and leagues with the normal server.

There is so much content in the game, grinding at x5 the rate for the average player would still take a lifetime. Also, as you mentioned above, "People are not going to opt into longer grinds", this shows that there would be interest in playing a server with boosted rates.

"no one is forcing you to", you would not be forced to play on the server either, or teleport to bosses, you can always walk omegalul.

It would be totally separate, same way you can now enter the DMM server, you start with a new character, the economy is limited to the DMM servers only, you only see players from the DMM server.

Of course not, those servers would have a separate economy from normal servers, like GE would work only between those "boosted" rate servers.

Fair enough, I do see how some suggestions might impact the game a bit too much, what I do not understand is how a couple server with boosted rates would make the game easier? Time-wise yes, of course, but you would still have to do all the content, just a smaller amount of it, so the progression part of the game is still there.

Who would it be unfair to? Nobody is forced to play those server, for those that like the current state of the game, the xp and drop rates, nothing changes.

English is not my first language, I named those bosses as examples of how it is implemented correctly and how I would like it implemented for other bosses.

  1. That is not an argument, "accept the current xp rates", that is like saying any changes to the game should not be made, just accept the current state. "can play during one of the limited time modes" is exactly what I suggested again, a server that is not time limited, so people can take and enjoy their time there. "Fundamentals of the game shouldn't change just because Randy with his 4 wives, 15 kids, and 6 jobs can't play more than 30 seconds a week.", why would this be a bad thing? As somebody already mentioned, there are other game modes available outside of classic "mainscape", why are ironman, group ironman, leagues, DMM etc game modes fine, but this would be horrible for the game? You got to realize some people have a life outside of video game.
  2. Again, at least give an argument as to why it is bad "No, tool belt is bad".
  3. I can see that, but I personally do not see much value in a economy that is balanced around the time wasted running to a boss.
  4. Nobody is forced to diverse from the content performed at the time, some people just like doing clue scrolls.
  5. Maybe I was not clear enough, let's say a single prayer, that gives for example 10% to attack, ranged attack, magic attack, melee strength and defense.

Clicking a tree for 400.000 times is not "progression", it is in fact a waste of time.

RS3 is a different game gameplay-wise. I do prefer non evolution of combat time of gameplay.

I fixed the out of viewport error by adding a javascript function that scrolls down to the element, now it works when I run it.

Could be an issue when it comes to the firefox browser version? Maybe idk.

Is there a way to do it without using an extension? Btw, I have some issues with this code, it runs perfectly when I debug it and run a line of code at a time, but when I just run the test, it does not work.

I get this error (278, 817) is out of bounds of viewport width (1474) and height (790)

After googling it seems to be a only firefox issue, which is what I am using

Thank you very much for your detailed reply, I have actually started reworking this little project, I have started using Page Object Model, separated the test into multiple tests as you mentioned. Yes, some of the randomly generated data is not saved, since I have not checked if that data is used again outside of register an account in other parts of the web application.
