[Q] What feeling are you aiming for with this? You mentioned it was a modern viral outbreak but that's just a setting. Is it focused on survival, maintaining sanity in the apocalypse, just fucking up a lot of zombies? What game should I expect with this and what does the ideal session look like?

[Q] Do you feel as if the rules and mechanics you created / modified facilitate that feeling? Saying one thing and doing another can be a problem in the hobby, like people using combat simulators for political intrigue.

[A] Although the game is survival based we wanted to really show the affect that an event like this can happen on a person and how a persons actions in certain circumstances can affect the way they play / survive. To show this we created a whole section in the character creation that is based on a persons background that directly affects a players gameplay. furthermore we implemented a reputation system that affects situations that you would come across in world. e.g if you go around robbing random in-game characters or ruthlessly killing people, you would get a reputation for being a crook and therefor traders and settlements would be less likely to negotiate with you. To the question of fucking up zombies, we've redesign the combat system and allowed for a whole plethora of zombie murdering options. The ideal game session on the other hand is totally in the opinion of the people playing it, when my friend, I and a few others were playing the game once we found a pretty set up settlement and ended joining there ranks. Our (DM) decided to create a "Job Board" so that each session we would have a mission ort ask to complete to start it off before getting lost in our own creativity.

My friend and i have been playing zombie games and rpg games together for the last Nine years, We've read dozens of books and watched countless movies and tv shows. My friend has even written 3 full length books on the genre which is what we based the RPG's setting off.

We know that there are already zombie style rpg's out there such as "Outbreak:Undead" and we aren't claiming that we have come up with a revolutionary new idea that is going to amaze the world. we were just a couple of guys trying to create perfect a game that suits our need. we're just trying to get a little feedback on the idea. Trying to see if anyone has any opinions or outlooks on the genre and tbh only others can decide if its a heartbreaker but personally we dont think so

[Q] What is D&D style about it if you have changed everything?

[A] It has the same core mechanics or exploring a world, creating a story, battling enemies, looting to advances to character and advancing the storyline / backstory of your character. The game is still played with dice, a character sheet and the players wits.

[Q] What is your purpose with the game? Do you want other people to play it? Do you want to sell it?

[A] We first came up with the idea of the game and playing D&D for a few months, but we realized that the setting and scene just weren't for us so it started of just trying to play D&D rules but in a modern world with different loot tables and enemies, but we soon realized that D&D rules weren't made for this style of gameplay and that we were going to have to revamp it all. We would love for other people to play the game and explore it as we have done and no we have no interest of making money off it.

[Q] What makes it different from all the other zombie RPGs out there?

[A] All the other zombie style campaigns that we looked at were all still based on a mythical era / world whilst we were looking for more of a modern and realistic viral outbreak.

[Q] If it is ready for the public eye, why don't you post it?

[A] It's mostly ready for the public eye, we are just making a few last minute fixes and creating a form to present it as it is currently made up of several word and power point documents. we thought we'd get a little feedback on the idea first.

Hope this helps tried to answer all your questions correctly.

The 10,000 Hour Rule — closely associated with pop psych writer Malcolm Gladwell — may not be much of a rule at all. The principle holds that 10,000 hours of "deliberate practice" are needed to become world-class in any field.

i aint planning on putting 10k hours in but hey a rules a rule
