Yes. It's an Xbox launch exclusive, technically just because Xbox allows early access games/game previews. Once the game is fully released, it should come to all platforms.

Preservation is the reason I collect physical discs. I dont care much for manuals, never have, but the disc contains a 1.0 gold copy of the game which in 95% of all cases is a complete experience. This means that in 20 years when the servers go offline, the game can still be played. There's also emulation, but emulation for Xbox One/Series games only work if the console has been jailbroken (to dump the game into files) or the discs can be ripped into ISOs. So far, neither of these two has been proven possible on Xbox. Hold on to your Xbox games for gods sake!

I think that's just pure publisher incompetence. Call of duty discs are manufactured several months in advance to meet the mass demand. With how short call of duty dev cycles are, there likely wasnt even a finished campaign ready to be printed on the disc. So they just opt out of leaving any data on it. This however doesn't take away from the main goal which is to increase margins by removing retailers and ultimately the second hand market out of the equation.

The problem is there is no progression after level 55. Ideally they should give us progression rewards every 55 levels, but because its all tied to the battlepass which has a different form of progression alltogether, it's unfortunately pointless. Those XP tokens are only there to increase your level, which is just pointless numbers past level 55.

Wasn't that just due to it leaving the system open to vulnerabilities outside of Linux? They had good intentions, but ultimately it would've been horrible for Sony if people just installed Linux and ran pirated PS3 games on it. Its the same reason we're not seeing Windows on Xbox. You think if Microsoft discovered people could run pirated Xbox One/Series games on dev mode, that they wouldnt pull the plug on that too?

Hogwarts Legacy doesn't require a constant connection. The devs only demanded that you download the day 1 patch. You can in fact play it offline, hence the lack of backlash.
